When was the last time you loved up on your grief?
I know so many of our hearts are aching right now. Our sorrows are the pathways to our joy (Francis Weller), but in our grief-phobic society, we have precious few places where we can welcome in our beloved grief…
As a therapist and grief-tender, I know how important it is to create safe spaces for our grief to flow. Song is one of the most powerful tools I have found for tending and befriending that grief. In this sacred circle, the space is made, the songs can hold you; all your feels are welcome here. Let’s gather our tender parts and tender hearts and use the boundless power of song and community to grieve, cry, laugh and love deeply.
**Bring some cozy layers, and a chair if you’re able. We’ll have a fire pit for warmth. ADDRESS PROVIDED UPON REGISTRATION. No matter your race, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, or housing status, you are not only welcome here, you belong here. I hope you will bring the wholeness of who you are to this embodied experience of singing with full permission to be in movement, grief, laughter and imperfection.
DONATION – sliding scale $30-$20. No one turned away due to lack of funds. Thank you for supporting what supports you.
ACCOUNTABILITY – 10% of proceeds will go to the Amah Mutsun Land Trust. Aptos Beloved Community will generously be matching our donation.
