LONDON DRAWING GROUP
Join us by candlelight for an intimate and cosy life drawing session.
For this class we’ll be presenting you with a dramatically lit Tableaux to draw from. Playing with light can inspire us, not only to play with tone and the intensity of our lines, but it can also affect the emotive weight of our marks and change the mood of a drawing.
We’ll play with exercises that can help us move away from the outline of our figures and encourage us to discover new ways of building up a drawing.
Please note that a couple of our exercises for this weeks session will refer directly to working with charcoal – however, you will still take away plenty from this class if charcoal is not your medium of choice!
This class is suitable for ALL LEVELS – Think you can only draw a stick man? Perfect.
Everyone is welcome to join this pay-what-you-can class. We suggest a payment of £20, however we understand that may not be possible for everybody. Please be honest and pay what you can afford so that we may continue to offer our sessions on a pay-what-you-can basis whilst also paying our guest tutors and models a sustainable wage.
YOU WILL NEED:
– Paper, we recommend A3 and above to allow for expressive, flowing lines.
– Something to draw with! We love charcoal at LDG but you can also experiment with pencils, pen, soft pastels, oil pastels etc – whatever you have in your home!
ETIQUETTE:
Online Life Drawing is a fairly new medium for us all and our priority is keeping our life models safe and comfortable whilst working online. The majority of our life models will be working semi-clothed, however, occasionally a model may feel more comfortable to perform their job nude. If it is important for you to know this information in advance of the class, please drop us an email. Please note that taking screenshots, recordings, or reference images during class is not permitted or appropriate.

Your ticket includes access to the live class and 7 days access to the recording.
SIGNING IN
Once you have booked your place, you will be able to access information on how to join the event via your Eventbrite “Online Event Page”. You can access this by signing into Eventbrite using the email that you booked with.
RECORDING
The recording will be sent out after the event finishes, within 2 hours of the end of the class. Please add londondrawinggroup@gmail.com to your email contacts to ensure you receive the recording as expected.
(Please note that the recording can be viewed once within 7 days)
ARE YOU TRYING TO BOOK VIA THE EVENTBRITE PHONE APP?!
We have been in touch with Eventbrite, and they have informed us that currently you cannot book tickets to paid events in their app. It’s very frustrating and we have been assured they are working on a solution.
